SyMa cut electricity use on a live municipal cooling plant by around 40 percent in the first season.
Independent measurement, normalised for weather and load, confirmed savings of 44 percent and a payback inside five months.
Central cooling for a municipal site.
Multiple chillers, mixed and free cooling, a variable cooling load across the year. Before SyMa, the components were controlled in isolation, with fixed setpoints that did not adapt to load, ambient temperature or electricity price.
For Karlsruhe we delivered a dedicated controller. It clipped into the existing switchboard and was connected to power and the network, using a data server already on site, so the installation was quick and non-invasive. The customer's operators retained full authority and overrides at all times.
In the operator's own words.
"The transparency we now have is outstanding. We compared the annual refrigeration energy use to the previous year, and the efficiency gains and cost savings were immediately obvious."

Karlsruhe is one of several deployments. The next step for any new site is a potential analysis against your schematics and operating data.
